Das Peach Haus
The story of Das Peach Haus begins in 1928 with a peach orchard, continues through a roadside produce stand opened in 1969, and blossoms into something much greater—a culinary destination that honors its agricultural roots while embracing innovation. Founded by Case Fischer and Mark Wieser, this specialty food company has always followed a path toward what they call “Culinary Adventure,” even before they had a name for it.
That journey, guided by values drawn from nature itself—curiosity, appreciation, and respect for what the land provides—has given the Texas Hill Country both the Culinary Adventure Cooking School (2016) and the Culinary Adventure Tasting Room (2017). It’s a natural evolution from orchard to table, from produce stand to immersive culinary experience.
At Das Peach Haus, nearly a century of agricultural tradition informs everything they do. The same family values that sustained a peach orchard through generations now drive a tasting room experience that celebrates Texas flavors, quality ingredients, and the joy of culinary discovery.
The Culinary Adventure Tasting Room reflects this heritage—a space where you can explore wines and specialty foods that embody the same commitment to quality and authenticity that started with those first peach trees. It’s a place where curiosity is rewarded and appreciation for Texas agriculture runs deep.
At Cowboy Tours, we’re drawn to businesses with genuine stories and generational roots. Das Peach Haus offers a unique perspective on Texas Hill Country—one that connects wine to the broader agricultural and culinary heritage of the region. Their Culinary Adventure Tasting Room provides our guests with an experience that’s both delicious and deeply authentic, celebrating nearly 100 years of Hill Country tradition.
